The City of Surrey has hired me for some of my best projects over the years, and this one fits right in with them.
After having shot stock landscapes, events, city councillors, head-shots, and aerials, I was asked to organize some new stock images for their marketing. The project evolved into three days of shooting, in multiple locations around the very large footprint of the municipality, utilizing wardrobe, hair/make up, assistants and outdoor location lighting.
I hired 18 models in total so we would have a strong variety of people overall to represent the many different ethnicities that represented the demographic of Surrey.
This project was like a mini-film and thankfully I had my filmmaking background to draw on for the entire thing, to help steer it in the right direction through all the planning. Everything was a giant learning curve for my career, and in the end the final images were a huge success.
