The evolution of the client relationship is so cool to me.
I began shooting stock for the city of Surrey at the start of my career, for Linda Hepner who would eventually go on and become its Mayor. That initial project morphed into headshots, festival work, stock photography and aerial photography as I was referred from one department to another.
After a decade of working together, I got a call to shoot for a new department on a community engagement project. We collaborated on an anti-racism campaign, which is now reaching a lot of minds in the city, through posters, a website, printed material and bus shelter advertising. I believe in the message this project is sending and found it inspirational and personally very rewarding to be a part of it.
I’m really proud of the work we did together, the real people who modeled for us and shared their stories, as well as the other talented people who helped the project become so successful.
In his work on the We Are Surrey campaign, Jon has exhibited high level of professionalism, creativity and true passion for our cause. He managed to make our models, who were local residents, feel at ease and bring up their authentic personalities in every single shot. The campaign and posters are receiving a lot of accolades and Jon played a critical role in being our eyes for the project.Olga Shcherbyna - Social Planner, City of Surrey
