There are very few conferences I work on where I log more kilometres than this one. The FMF is absolutely gigantic.
I’ve photographed this show three times now, and while I’m getting my exercise walking the convention centre, I’m also expanding my appreciation for the field of family medicine.
The forum – a full seven days of work – aims to help family medical doctors become better at what they do. I have a very specific and time sensitive shot list to fulfill each day, as well as a full day of convocation photography (where I organize a team of 5 to photograph 150 graduates and their families in under 6 hours).
The FMF organizing team, who I’ve worked with now on the three shows, make this show happen for me. Things get easier the more you do them and we’ve meshed well, building up a trust and respect that helps to make such a complicated show run smoothly.
