In 2015, I worked like I had never worked before and it ended up being my best year for many reasons. One of those was this project.
My long time client, the DVBIA, and I worked on many spring and early summer projects that year, shooting events and documenting their great work in the downtown core. Late in the summer, they asked me to update their extensive stock library of images.
I basically spent the entire month of August on this shoot, which gave me the opportunity to wait for the best time of day for each piece on the shot list. These images are some of those highlights.
Sometimes an image was the simple beauty in a plaza fountain while other times an image required that I scout a location, approach buildings for permission to shoot off their roof tops, and wait for that perfect moment.
This project is a perfect example of what my unique skill set allows me to excel at: a set of goals, a shot list, organizational skills, creativity, and a desire to take a well known subject or location and find a way to capture it in a way that surprises people.
