In the summer of 2014, the CNV hired me to produce new images of their recently restored and reimagined waterfront property, The Shipyards.
They had done a fantastic job restoring the historical aspects of the buildings and a huge crane, and integrating them both into a fully public space, much like Granville Island.
I felt this job called for my 30 foot tripod, to show off the scale and scope of the individual buildings and the overall space. I spent a few hours one July evening, and shot away as the night market, food trucks and entertainment played on within this stunning backdrop
I love these shots. They show off exactly what the 30 foot tripod can do with an outdoor space. I think they have energy, a beautiful use of colour and sky, and a very cool overall balance that could only be achieved from these heights.
